Thoughts constantly move through the mind: interpretations, memories, worries, rehearsals, judgments, predictions.
Most of the time, they appear so automatically that people do not notice they are thinking — they simply experience the thought as reality.
This practice develops the ability to observe thoughts without immediately believing, following, or fighting them.
Take a few quiet minutes today and simply observe your thoughts.
Do not try to stop them. Do not force silence.
Instead, notice:
What kinds of thoughts repeat?
Which thoughts immediately pull your attention?
Which thoughts create tension in the body?
Imagine sitting beside a river, watching thoughts pass like moving water.
The goal is not to empty the mind. It is to become less unconsciously controlled by it.
