12 III — Body & Nervous System

Creating Supportive Space

What it is

Human beings are deeply influenced by their environments.

Noise, disorder, overstimulation, and constant input affect the nervous system even when people are not fully aware of it.

A supportive environment does not need to be perfect. But it can help the body feel safer, calmer, and more settled.

The practice

Choose one small area of your environment today.

A desk. A corner of a room. A digital space. A place where you spend time.

Instead of organizing for productivity, organize for nervous system support.

Ask:

What creates more calm here?

What creates unnecessary tension?

What helps this space feel more breathable?

Small environmental changes can create surprisingly deep internal effects.
